Lagos / New York – Afrobeat legend Fela Anikulapo‑Kuti has been officially inducted into the 2025 Grammy Hall of Fame for his groundbreaking 1976 album Zombie, honoring its enduring cultural and historical significance. The Recording Academy announced this week that Zombie—a bold critique of Nigeria’s military regime—has earned its place among recordings recognized for “lasting qualitative or historical significance”.
