Apple is expected to report a solid quarter driven by early success of its iPhone 17 lineup, with demand particularly strong for the Pro variants. Analysts believe this demand may spark a much-needed upgrade cycle even as Apple’s AI roadmap lags behind competitors.

The company’s stock has already rallied, rising about 24% in the July-September period. Over just 10 days post-launch, iPhone 17 sales in the U.S. and China are estimated to be 14% higher than its previous model. The improved specs — sharper displays, larger storage capacities, and upgraded processors — are drawing buyers despite Apple’s delayed AI feature rollout.

Meanwhile, Apple anticipates full-year revenue growth of 7.6%, with iPhone revenues alone projected to reach $50 billion for the fiscal quarter — up about 8.6%. Yet the path ahead is not without headwinds: the iPhone 17 Air model has underperformed, and tariff costs tied to shifting production to India may shave about $1.1 billion from profits.
