Tems Joins Doja Cat & J Balvin to Headline First FIFA Club World Cup Halftime Show
Nigeria's Grammy-winning artist Tems is set to make history as one of the headliners of the first-ever halftime show at a FIFA competition. Joining global stars Doja Cat and J Balvin, Tems will take the stage during the FIFA Club World Cup Final at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on July 13, 2025.
Curated by Chris Martin of Coldplay and produced in collaboration with Global Citizen, the performance aims to support the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, which seeks to raise $100 million to improve access to education and football for children worldwide.
Tems expressed excitement about representing Africa on such a historic international stage, saying the event will celebrate “the unity that music brings”. The show will be broadcast live for free on DAZN.com, making it accessible to fans worldwide.
This halftime lineup brings together artists from three continents:
- Tems (Africa – Afrobeats, R&B)
- J Balvin (South America – Reggaeton)
- Doja Cat (North America – Pop/Rap)
As FIFA expands its entertainment offerings, this halftime show sets a new precedent, blending football and music for global impact and charitable purpose.
