The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has expressed deep satisfaction with the ongoing progress on key infrastructure projects across Abuja, noting that the development aligns with the government’s vision to transform the capital into a modern, efficient, and livable city.

During an inspection tour of major construction sites, including the Southern Parkway expansion, new road networks in Gwagwalada, and key bridges in the city center, the Minister praised the quality of work and adherence to timelines by the contractors.

“I am impressed by the commitment of our engineers and construction partners. These projects are not just about roads and bridges; they’re about improving the lives of Abuja residents and boosting economic growth,” Wike said.

The Minister reiterated the administration’s determination to deliver durable and world-class infrastructure within the lifespan of the current government, stressing that quality will not be compromised.

He also urged residents to cooperate with the FCT administration by being patient with ongoing road diversions and temporary inconveniences caused by the construction work.

The FCT leadership is expected to deliver several major infrastructure projects by the end of the year, including modern drainage systems, road expansions, and upgrades to public utilities.
