Speaker Aondona Dajoh made the directive during an emergency plenary session held in Makurdi on Tuesday, following mounting public outcry over the detention of peaceful demonstrators. The protesters had taken to the streets to condemn the recent massacre in Yelwata, where over 100 residents were killed in an attack by unidentified gunmen.
