Trump Sons Announce ‘Trump Mobile’ and U.S.-Assembled T1 Smartphone
June 16, 2025 — New York
Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump have unveiled their latest business venture: Trump Mobile, a new wireless carrier offering a U.S.-assembled smartphone and a patriotic, Trump-branded data plan.
The announcement marks a major expansion into the telecommunications sector by the Trump family, known for its ventures in real estate, hospitality, and branded merchandise.
“We’re proud to offer a phone that’s made right here in America and a mobile plan built by patriots, for patriots,” said Donald Trump Jr. at the launch event.
- T1 Phone: A gold-colored Android smartphone priced at $499, featuring a 6.8-inch screen, 50MP camera, 5,000mAh battery, and 5G support. The phone is expected to ship by early September 2025.
- "47 Plan": An unlimited talk, text, and data plan priced at $47.45/month, referencing Donald Trump’s presidential terms as the 45th and 47th U.S. president.
- Network Access: Trump Mobile will operate as an MVNO (mobile virtual network operator), using existing infrastructure from Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile.
- Extras: Additional features will include telemedicine access, international messaging, and roadside assistance.
According to Trump Jr., the T1 Phone will be assembled in the United States, a direct response to growing concerns over foreign-manufactured electronics and a call for renewed investment in domestic tech production.
Critics have already raised concerns about potential conflicts of interest, as former President Trump remains a major political figure while his family capitalizes on patriotic branding and nationalistic messaging.
Analysts also note that breaking into the saturated U.S. mobile market will be a challenge, especially since MVNOs represent a small percentage of overall wireless users.
