Trump Threatens Iran’s Supreme Leader, Says He’s an “Easy Target” But Safe “For Now”
U.S. President Donald Trump has issued a stark warning to Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, declaring that he is an “easy target” and known to U.S. intelligence, but safe "for now" as tensions continue to escalate in the Middle East.
President Trump made the comments on Truth Social early Tuesday, stating:
“We know exactly where the so-called ‘Supreme Leader’ is hiding. He is an easy target, but is safe there – We are not going to take him out (kill!), at least not for now. But we don't want missiles shot at civilians, or American soldiers. Our patience is wearing thin.”
The message follows days of rising hostilities between Israel and Iran, with both nations trading missile attacks. Trump has publicly demanded Iran’s “unconditional surrender” and claimed that the United States has established “complete and total control of the skies over Iran.”
Vice President J.D. Vance supported the President’s strong stance, warning Tehran to cease all uranium enrichment and hinting at possible military intervention if Iran fails to comply.
National security advisers reportedly convened with President Trump in the White House Situation Room to discuss a range of options, including military strikes, increased sanctions, and the repositioning of American forces in the region.
The comments come amid heightened fears of a broader war in the Middle East. Over the past week, Israeli forces have launched targeted strikes on Iranian military and nuclear facilities, prompting direct retaliation from Tehran.
Washington has since boosted its military presence across the region, with aircraft carriers and missile defense systems placed on high alert.
